  • A special coating provides a high level of protection against corrosion of locks and fittings

    • Hexagon socket: stainless steel
    • Clamping bolt: stainless steel V4A 1.4404
    • Rubber gasket for sound reduction: EPDM – Shore=55° +/-5°

FP PREIS® PEP for PREIS Drainage Systems cast iron drainage systems according to EN 877.

Pipe Edge Protection for FP PREIS® Drainage Systems cast iron drainage pipe systems (KML + SML), used successfully in the tests with FP PREIS® KML according to DIN EN 877 and RAL GZ 698.

  • Separator with fingerlift for fast and easy detachment from the backing paper
  • Fast and easy application to the cutting edge of the pipe
  • Quick installation without drying times

Butyl rubber with special polyethylene film

Silicone paper separation layer with fingerlift for easy removal

  • mostly chemical resistant

  • Always store cool and dry (+5°C to +25°C) and protected against UV

Please note:

  • FP PREIS® PEP is not resistant to oils and organic solvents (e.g. fuel).
  • If necessary, loosen the clamping screw of the connector before application.
  • FP PREIS® PEP must always be used for cut edges in KML pipes.
  • FP PREIS® PEP is also recommended as cut edge protection for SML pipes.
  • Keep out of reach of children!

After cutting the pipe, deburr sharp edges on the inside and outside.
Montage 2 1
Step 2
Clean up the inside and outside of the tubes down to 3 cm from the edge, making sure they are dry and free from dust and grease.

Cut FP PREIS® PEP to the length specified for your pipe’s DN according to the above table.

Remove the release film over half the tape length.
Montage 5
Step 5
Position FP PREIS® PEP on the inside of the cut pipe so that half its width (approx. 15 mm) protrudes beyond the edge of the pipe.

Step 6
Firmly press FP PREIS® PEP onto the inner pipe surface without creases. Then remove the remaining release liner.

Step 7
Press FP PREIS® PEP firmly on the full inner tube circumference without wrinkles or tension. Important: Do not stretch PREIS PEP, as this results in tension!

The ends of the FP PREIS® PEP must overlap (approx. 10 mm); there must be no gap.

Step 9
Fold the protruding section of the FP PREIS® PEP over the cut edge of the pipe and press it onto the outer pipe surface all the way round to fully cover the cut edge with tape.

If necessary, loosen the connector slightly, place it on the FP PREIS® PEP protected pipe end as usual and screw it tight.
